Telecom Supervisor

Henkels & McCoy, Inc., one of the largest privately held international utility contracting firms, with offices in 80 cities and celebrating 86 years of operating with a reputation as one of the most reliable and innovative firms in engineering and construction, is currently seeking a Telecom Supervisor. The Telecom Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the Region in meeting project completion schedules and labor and material cost budgets as directed. This may be the duty as the site supervisor on large projects, or as the lead person on a small project. In addition, the Supervisor will be responsible for running multiple crews on a project and maintaining a daily time, material, and event record for job status information and provided to the management on a periodic basis as directed.

• Ensures the accuracy of time sheets and expense reports, as directed by management.
• Initiates disciplinary action for those employees working under him.
• Develops work-around procedures for maintaining crew productivity during delays caused by other trades, customer, lack of materials, absenteeism, etc in conjunction with the project schedule.
• Monitors quality of work throughout the life of the project as provided by H&M Quality Assurance and Installation written practices.
• Ensures safety practices are observed by all crews.
• Reports, coordinates and supervises all aspects of a project as directed by the site supervisor or project manager.
• May work independently performing site surveys for estimates, proposal preparation, or quality assurance.
• Provides documentation, reports, and information to supervision or project manager as directed.

• Minimum 5 years of related experience in aerial, underground and OSP in telecom construction.
• Must have previous minimum requirements as a crew leader, with experience on outside plant and system installations while working from blueprints, specifications, and system documentation.
• Will have a thorough working knowledge of most widely used construction practices of Copper and fiber cable.
• Preferred Pole climbing experience.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to travel.
• Must be local to the area.
