Position Title Dining Facilities/Custodial Group Leader

The Ball State University Dining department has an opening for a Dining Facilities/Custodial Group Leader to help provide excellent customer satisfaction. Position Function
Under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor, lead, direct, and assist employees in achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, custodial services, delivery of goods, employee efficiency and productivity, compliance with safety and sanitation standards, HACCP standards, Indiana Food Code regulations, rules, policies and procedures of Ball State University. Additional functions include but are not limited to record keeping, physical inventory, subordinate training, communication, complying with departmental standards of operation, executing detailed plans and arrangements, and participating in delivery of departmental mail and monies.
Minimum Education
High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
Minimum Experience
1. Two (2) years of direct or related work experience in food service and/or custodial.
2. Must possess and maintain a valid For Hire Endorsement Drivers License and be insurable under the university's auto fleet policy.
3. Must possess a valid IN alcohol service employee permit or obtain within a reasonable amount of time as determined by Ball State University.
4. Able to read and comprehend all specified policies and procedures.
5. Must be able to read and comprehend all specified policies and procedures for safety, hazardous materials information, and university policies, procedures, communications, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
Authorization to work in the US Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Education
Associates degree or an equivalent from an accredited institution.
Preferred Experience
Additional experience in custodial leadership with demonstrated leadership and team building skills.
Pre-Employment Screening Requires successful completion of a background check.

Duty Requirement
