Essential Functions Statement(s)

This is a hands-on role, primarily focusing on repair and maintenance of CNC equipment, Heat Treat equipment, production automation, and facilities support equipment. The lead will assist in troubleshooting and repair on a variety of machine and building systems (sensors, hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, CNC controls, 3-phase electrical, linear motion, air compressors, pumps, cooling towers, boiler, HVAC, industrial lighting, etc.). Other tasks include leadership, training and coaching the Facilities and Maintenance team.

This position will work closely with the maintenance supervisors, engineering and production. Additionally, this position will be responsible for complying with all OSHA and EPA regulations in the performance of daily tasks and to inform management of any potential safety hazards or violations.

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Coordinating the activities of departmental personnel to include safety observations, daily work assignments, etc.
  • Perform and/or coordinate the technical training of employees, ensuring the timely service and repair of all facility and maintenance equipment to maintain organizational quality standards and optimal equipment performance.
  • Coordinating the carryover of tasks and responsibilities for shift changes of the Facilities and Maintenance team
  • Help to ensure safety, quality and efficiency standards are being met at all times

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Associate degree, preferably in a technical field

Experience: Maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Computer Skills: Basic

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced, target-driven manufacturing environment
  • Advanced mechanical troubleshooting & repair skills required - pneumatics, hydraulics, linear motion
  • Strong electrical and electronics background preferred: PLC, servo amplifiers, frequency drives, sensors, HMI, 3-phase power
  • Proficiency in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering concepts
  • Experience with a work order system
  • Ability to utilize PLCs and understanding control logic
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics (machine component and assembly drawings)
  • Excellent mathematical skills required
  • Experience in training others
  • Experience and knowledge using LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out)
