We are not only a certified Great Place to Work, recognized leader in equality (with us, you always can bring your full self to work), and have a global firmwide commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, we also achieve consistent year-over-year increases in customer satisfaction and business growth.

Flexible time off (yes, you read that right: we offer unlimited days off), a generous benefits package to meet your health, financial and wellbeing needs, and a hybrid work environment are just a few more reasons to join IRI.

We bring the sophistication, expertise and resources of a 40+ year-old global firm built on a history of innovation coupled with the grit, drive and mentality of an entrepreneurial startup. Our work matters, not just in the grocery aisle, but also in the economy at large.

But don't just take our word for it. As one of our clients who knows us well said, "IRI lives up to the hype."

Join us and be part of the next evolution of fueling industry growth, inspiring creativity and driving greater achievement for our employees and our clients. You can help us shape what comes next.

What will I be doing?

A core data asset required for many of IRI's solution is retailer point of sale data. In this position you will be managing the relationship, data sharing contracts, and IRI services provided to a number of small, regional retail clients across the U.S. You will actively engage retail senior leaders to: 1) secure data sharing rights with the retailer, 2) manage and negotiate data sharing contracts, 3) sell IRI solutions to address retailer insights needs, and 4) serve as thought leader and valued insights partner to address the retailer's burning business questions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Engage retail client senior leaders and contract owners to build a strong rapport
  • Learn retail client's business (initiatives & strategy) to align applicable IRI products/services
  • Consult with retail clients on a full range of IRI products. Sell in where appropriate
  • Provide thought leadership and insight perspective to build "trusted advisor" status with the client
  • Where possible, reduce IRI's cash exposure to retailer for data sharing, in lieu of IRI solutions/insights
  • Own the day to day management of contracts/revenue plans for all assigned retail accounts
  • Meet or exceed revenue plan/budget for assigned client accounts

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working at a retailer or with a CPG company, insights provider, or broker calling on retailers
  • Significant experience with syndicated data, consumer/shopper insights, retail merchandising & marketing, category management, or other related functions/skill sets
  • Ability to engage in consultative, thoughtful manner with client stakeholders to drive engagement and partnership growth
  • Experience managing and negotiating contracts preferred, but not required
  • Bachelor's degree required, graduate degree preferred
